reading 3 (Austin Anderson)

1) The theme of this reading was to compare the brutal demented ritual cannablism of some destored eucharist believes to the Hippolytus Apostolic tradition that is still in affect today. The cannabals were clearly drasticly wrong in there interpretation of what is said in the word of God. (If thats the reason for their madness)

2) "Thirstily-Oh horror! They lick up it's blood" this stood out to me because of how freightenig and deranged it is. This phrase shows how animalistic and evil the cannabals were. This phrase painted a horrifing picture in my head.

3) This reading generated new ideas and questions for me, like in what other cases were people's believes of christianity so drastically skewed? I wondered how much christianity has changed since the beginning of time to present day. I also wonder if there are cannabals out today, and i'm starting to believe Hannibal Lector is real!

4) The Hippolytus Apostolic Tradition is still in use today. The acting of eating the bread and drinking the cup will always be a major part of Christanity. This act signafies Jesus dying for all of us, and he will always honor that as Christians.

5) This relates to the text as we begin to see Christianity on the rise. This text shows some of what early Christanity was like. In order to completely understand modern day christanity it's important to explore its origins.
